KLEMAN originates from the story of René Cléon and the family manufacture Cléon. Marked by the hardships of his time, René Cléon, a shoemaker by trade, returned to France with a simple yet powerful desire: to rebuild, to undertake, and to pass on. After the war, he gathered an initial team of apprentices and acquired his first stitching and assembly machines. In the family home in La Romagne, the first models were created, specializing in Kneipp stitching. Driven by the demand for well-made work, the activity developed rapidly. The workshop grew, became structured, and then a factory was built to support the company's expansion.
