Wash at a low temperature to prevent shrinking and protect the fabric. Turning the shirt inside out helps protect the outer surface.
Use a delicate or gentle wash cycle.
To avoid color bleeding, wash with similar colors.
Do not use bleach.
Hang or lay flat to dry, preferably out of direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
